Six degrees of separation

Six degrees of separation

Nowadays, name cards have been less of how one share contact info but more of how one displays their image. We believe a name card is at it's most communication deliverance when the person who receives the card shares it again with other potential clients.

Such a scenario is explored in the design, supported by the theory of “six degrees of separation,” which navigates as the primary concept in design thinking here. In a world of 7 billion people, it seems that we are all connected by six or fewer acquaintances, meaning you and the Queen are only six connections away. And since internet networking has widely expanded our online acquaintances, six people are lowered to four. So by using the ancient way of advertising—word of mouth, this first-degree connection who received your name card is now encouraged to extend the relationship to a second. Growing the efficiency of the connections that one name card can make, or one social networking scene could offer.

One is encouraged to tear along the perforated line and pass out one of the two identical cards. One side is your usual self-introduction, the opposite side highlighting only the necessary.
